For schools
Academic integrity software that schools can trust
Academic integrity tools have a trust problem: opaque scores, false positives, and student-surveillance concerns. Learnaway is built to earn a school's trust.
Privacy by design
We record timing metadata only, never the characters a student types. No keylogger, ever.
Defensible evidence
Every signal is a verifiable data point suitable for a fair conversation or appeal, not a probability guess.
Compliance-ready
GDPR-first architecture, configurable retention, and a Data Processing Agreement for licensed schools.
Bottom-up adoption
Teachers start free; schools licence when enough colleagues rely on it. No top-down procurement to begin.
Frequently asked
- Is keystroke timing personal data?
- We treat all telemetry as personal data and minimise it by design (no content captured). Licensed customers get a DPA and configurable retention.
- Does it work on Chromebooks?
- Yes. Chromebooks are an ideal device. On touch-screen keyboards, cadence analysis is automatically skipped and the limitation is shown to the teacher.
- How is this different from Turnitin?
- Turnitin primarily checks text similarity against a source database and runs an AI-style classifier. Learnaway does neither: it reads writing behaviour instead. There are no source databases, no text analysis, and no ESL bias. It is also free for individual teachers.
